Project goal

The goal of the project was to redesign Talent Connect with a strong focus on responsiveness, accessibility and overall user experience.

Introduction

Talent Connect is an online platform designed to assist Talent, a digital staffing agency, and its clients with scheduling and hiring. It caters to two user groups:

  1. Businesses (clients) looking to book workers.
  2. Talent's account managers who oversee the hiring process.

Our process

The client contacted us for a custom project. After briefing us on the main issues with their web app, we conducted our own audit and mapped out the current flows. With this information, we divided the project into smaller, feature-based sprints and began working. This project is anonymized under an NDA.

The problem

Based on the data provided by the client and our initial audit of the web app, we identified the following issues:

  • Limited responsiveness - Talent Connect was designed exclusively for tablets, limiting compatibility with other devices.
  • Outdated interface - The outdated colours and typography fell short of modern usability standards.
  • Lack of user-centered design - Focused more on functions than on user needs, the app didn’t provide a user-friendly experience.

Restructuring the web app

After analyzing the app, we restructured it with a strong focus on providing clear task overviews for our users. Our goal was to make completing daily tasks faster and more intuitive for each user group by streamlining problematic flows and presenting relevant information in a visually accessible way.

This dashboard provides clients with a comprehensive overview of their requests, along with quick-access cards to streamline their workflows and ensure they never overlook completing important tasks.

Dashboard: company-facing

Similar to the client-facing view, this dashboard is designed to assist Tealent's account managers in organizing & completing their daily activities, offering quick overviews of relevant tasks.

Requests: client & company

Managing requests is a daily activity for both user groups. By implementing a clear, status-based structure with tabs and colour coding, we streamlined this process even further.

Tealent’s account managers need an overview of all their clients, contact persons, and industries. With the addition of simple filtering, sorting, and search options, managers can now perform these tasks more efficiently.

Candidate search: client & company

Candidate search is one of the most essential features of this web app. To enable clients to request workers who meet specific job requirements, or for company-side account managers to find suitable candidates for a client's open request, a clear and comprehensive search page is crucial.
